What is Juvéderm?

Juvéderm is a smooth gel that contains hyaluronic acid, naturally occurring sugar found in the human body. It also occurs in your skin (apart from water, fat, collagen), where it delivers nutrients and hydrates the skin by holding in water.

What makes Juvéderm different from other cosmetic fillers?

All cosmetic fillers (Radiesse, Restylane, Juvederm, Collagen, Fat Transfers) work by adding volume beneath the lines, wrinkles and folds we develop over time. Their main difference lie on how they try to prevent the body's natural tendency to counteract them (which shows itself in how long the treatments last) and in recovery times.

Who makes Juvéderm?

Juvederm is made by Allergan, the same company that makes Botox.
