I wanted to tell you how pleased I am with the results of my recent FX Laser procedure. My concern was not my aging face and wrinkles, which I consider well earned, but a predisposition to skin cancer, overall skin texture, some scaring and uneven skin coloration that comes with age. I’ve had costly non-invasive procedures at other facilities, none of which were successful so my expectations were minimal. The outcome however was amazing.
The texture, color and overall appearance were improved beyond my expectations. What I did not expect was the reduction in wrinkles and overall tightness of the skin texture in the neck, jowls and eyelids. It appears that I’ve had a minor eye and face lift.
On day eleven I returned to the work. The comments from co-workers were, “Have you lost weight, cut your hair or been on vacation”? The results were not so drastic that it was obvious that I had my face resurfaced which is what we all want.
I also wanted to mention how impressed I am with your Post-Operative care and treatment. Heather Wheeler your Paramedical Aesthetician brings both her professional expertise and personal touch. She has been a tremendous source of information and help on how to care for my new skin.
I would and have highly recommended the Northwest Face to my co-workers, family and friends. This is just too good to keep this secret all to myself.

"I am 54 years old and was feeling like my face was aging beyond my years. I am a happy person, but looked mad due to the frown lines that were permanent between my brows. Dr. Allegra performed a Brow Lift in December, which is the first phase of my treatment. The first 2 weeks, quite honestly, I did not like Dr. Allegra! I had significant bruising, and had to hide from the public eye, which is normal!
When I went back to work in January (I am a teacher and had most of December off), I couldn’t believe the comments! “Wow, you sure look rested”, “You look great, what is your secret?” I am very very happy I did this procedure. The next phase will be laser resurfacing, which will even out my skin and rid the damaged surface layer due to sun exposure and age. Dr. Allegra has been very caring and respectful, and I look forward to this next procedure."

"My overall experience to date with NW Face in having a brow lift and removal of under eye fat pads has been satisfactory. I really won’t know the full outcome of this procedure for another month when I am scheduled to see Dr. Allegra again.
I felt the initial consultation with Dr. Allegra was very informative. I came to the consultation with a number of questions and felt that he answered them completely. In addition, photos of the “before and after” pictures of prior patients as well as discussion of the fees involved were helpful in determining whether or not to go ahead with the surgery. Once I decided to proceed with the procedures, Peggy (the scheduler) was very well organized in not only arranging the operation but returning my calls when I had additional pre-op questions. On the day of surgery, the intake nurse and anesthesiologist appeared to be very efficient, putting me at ease prior to surgery. To date, my follow-up visits were easily scheduled to best accommodate my schedule (coming from the peninsula area) with little “wait time” beyond the scheduled appointment time.
In the interest of continuing improvement, I would suggest more detail of what to expect during the immediate 24 hours post-op be given to the patient prior to the surgery. When the nurse called me a few days prior to surgery to go over some items pre-op, I remember her saying “You will feel so much better once the bandage is removed”. At the time I did not pick up on that and I should have asked her to give me more detail on what to expect. Possibly some information on what to expect post-op could be included in the pre-op information sent to the patient. I would have appreciated knowing that the compression bandage can be uncomfortable and contributes to the nausea I experienced. My nausea was not alleviated by the suppositories and I vomited several times after attempting to take food. In fact, I was unable to take any food until the bandage was removed. Once the bandage was removed, my nausea decreased rapidly. Looking back on it, I felt that the 24 hour period immediately post-op was “glossed over” when in fact, it was an uncomfortable time due to the nausea mostly. Fortunately, I did not experience much pain (more soreness) so the fact I was unable to keep any pain pills down during this period was not a major problem. That may not be the case for another patient.
Would I do this again in spite of my constructive criticism – definitely!"

"Hi there,
I wanted to write and let you know how great my experience was with Dr. Allegra and the entire staff. From my initial consultation for sleep problems, to the follow-up where we decided on the surgery options, even the day of the surgery itself and my recovery, I can’t think of anything more I could have asked for to make this go more smoothly.
I almost said “painlessly,” but that wouldn’t be entirely accurate. That said, I was very happy with everything Dr. Allegra did for my pain management during my recovery, including taking my phone call very late one night when I became concerned with my condition. I was reassured that this was part of the healing process, which was pretty much exactly what I needed to hear to get through it.
And I’m happy to report that since my follow-up appointment, my breathing has improved dramatically and I’m sleeping properly for the first time in my adult life. So far, so good! Before the surgery I used to have “good days” maybe a couple days a week if I was lucky. Now, every day, I feel about a hundred times better than I ever did on my best “good day.”
So I would like to thank Dr. Allegra and his entire staff for everything they’ve done, and for helping me to open this chapter in my new life without sleep apnea!"
