DR. SAMIRA UMMATDr. Samira Ummat MD is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the director of the Restorative and Rejuvenative Department at NWFace. She graduated from Dalhousie University in Canada, went on to practice Rehabilitation Medicine in South Carolina, and relocated to the Seattle area in the summer of 2006. At that time Dr. Samira became a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and enrolled in the Fellowship program offered by the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Rejuvenative Medicine. She has successfully completed her board certification and now i on of only approximately 80 physicians worldwide with this qualification. Dr. Samira has treated a wide spectrum of patients in various settings during her career. She has treated patients in the office, in the hospitals, in the intensive care units, in short term care facilities and in long term care facilities. Dr. Samira believes that preventative medicine is the key to healthy lives, since it is very important to maintain quality of life as we age, and she has the expertise to offer advice regarding healthy aging including hormone replacement, weight management, exercises, nutritional support and nutraceutical options. Dr. Samira Ummat offers advice on the latest testing and management protocols for individualized hormone replacement programs for women and men as they enter menopause and andropause respectively. She believes that you should "be the best you can be at any age". Dr. Samira Ummat is married and has three children. She enjoys the outdoors and loves to read.
