Dr. Ludwig A. Allegra, MD
Ludwig A. Allegra, M.D. is the founder of Northwest Face and NW Nasal Sinus Center. He has been in practice in the Seattle area since 1983. Dr. Allegra started his professional training at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. His post-graduate training was initially in Boston for surgical residency and then at the University of Washington for specialty training before starting his private practice in the Seattle area. He is a fellow and board certified by multiple specialty groups. Dr. Allegra has extensive experience in evaluating and treating a wide range of problems and concerns both medical and cosmetic. Some of the techniques employed bridge the functional and aesthetic-specifically the use of endoscopic and minimally invasive techniques.
Cosmetic Procedures

He is one of the national pioneers in the use of endoscopic techniques for rejuvenation of the upper face and eyes- the endoscopic browlift.
The gratifying evolution of facelift and mini lift techniques have resulted in dramatic and yet entirely natural restoration of the face and neck in his patients. These techniques offer remarkably fast recovery with minimal if any discomfort.
The basic concept of gentle and effective treatment applies to reshaping of the nose (rhinoplasty) and to removing bags under the eyes most often with no external incision(blepheroplasty).
Restoration of breast and body aesthetics is also accomplished gently, effectively, and with surprisingly minimal recovery. This includes breast augmentation, breast lift/reduction, and tummy tuck procedures.
Dr. Allegra also has extensive experience with skin rejuvenation including laser resurfacing, use of fillers, and Botox.

Dr. Allegra has a vast experience treating conditions affecting the head and neck and the airways.
Sinus problems when chronic and not responding to medical treatment are often dramatically resolved with endoscopic sinus surgery -- Dr. Allegra has performed over 8000 procedures of this nature.
Successful treatment of sleep apnea and snoring with minimally invasive treatment has been improved by the incorporation of a detailed airway assessment we (Dr. Allegra and Dr. Ummat) perform-Somnofix©. Dr. Allegra has one of the largest experiences nationally in the use Somnoplasty for treatment. He has been featured on local (Evening Magazine, NW afternoon), and national TV (the Rosanne Show) as well as print media worldwide including China.
Dr. Allegra also has a large experience in treating head and neck tumors including thyroid and parathyroid problems, head and neck cancer, and salivary gland tumors.
Dr. Allegra is married and has a daughter who is an electrical engineer. His interests include virtually all things mechanical. In his youth, he frequently disassembled and reassembled much of his parent's household. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys golf, skiing, and tennis.
