    Dear Dr. Ummat,

    I am currently on the HCG program offered by Dr. Samira Ummat and Northwest Face at Carillon Point. I was skeptical about the treatment and the potential results. After speaking with members of the staff, I decided that this could be a program that would help me to feeling better. I am soon turning 42. Having two energetic kids, I want to be able to keep up with them. After seeing my PCP last summer, she gave me her advice to watch my diet, monitor my weight and work out. I got worried, given my family history , I wanted to live a long healthy life for me, my husband and especially the kids. So I decided to make the choice to use the HCG program with Dr. Ummat. I started the program last October 14th. I'm 15 lbs LIGHTER!!! I feel healthier and more confident. My clothing is fitting better and people I have not seen in a while started commenting on how good I look as well as sleeping better, no back ache, and fewer episodes of indigestion. The weight is still coming off. I miss having munchies but I keep munchies to a minimum by eating what is recommended on the meal plan. All in all, I am on the way to changing my way of life for the better. Eating healthier and working out again in combination with the treatment takes full advantage of what the HCG has to offer. The question: Will I recommend this treatment to my friends? Absolutely! It is a very disciplined program but the benefits are great. Do this and you'll be on your way to healthier lifestyle. It was just enough of a boost to get me on the right track. I have had the best experience with Dr. Ummat. She encouraged me to do this for myself. I'm glad I finally stepped up and am closer to my goal of losing 20 lbs.

    Just wanted to share my HCG anniversary - TODAY - began 7/29/08, just did weigh-in with Dr. Samira, down 57 lbs... plan to stay at 141, size 6.

    Dear Dr. Ummat,

    My appointment with NW Face on July 29th was for weight loss and in general, better health.  In October, I was turning age 65 and was trying to come to grips with aging and feeling overweight.  At my first appointment Dr. Samira Ummat we reviewed my health history, vitamins, medications, if any, which I am not on any, and the questionnaire she asked me to complete before my appointment.

    At this visit I was weighed and measured, then shown the graft of what I should be for my age and height.  We discussed the health risks for not getting this under control, which could be heart disease, diabetes, etc.

    I told Dr. Samira my first goal was to lose 25 pounds by my birthday, October 5th.  She recommended the HCG diet for 28 or 40 days.  This meant very limited food items so I was sure I could do it.  I was to give myself an injection each morning to help with hunger, which I was given pre-filled syringes for the week.  I would see her each week to be weighed and review my individual program and get the next weeks syringes.  I kept a diary of everything I ate and drank each day.  My friend gave me a bathroom scale so I could track my progress right down to the weight of the day.  The first week I was down seven pounds.  I made my goal weight, down 25.5 pounds, on the 40-day program.  I cannot tell you how exciting and fun this is.  Clothes I have not worn in years I am now able to wear.  The big plus is feeling better and looking younger. 

    After I completed the 40-day plan, I continued eating the same food, weighting each day and losing on my own.  This lifestyle change is very important to me and my health.  If I have a food treat, the very next day I am back to the correct foods for me.

    I began my new health plan on July 29, 2008.  To date, February 6, 2009, I have lost 48 pounds, wearing a size 8 - 10, feeling great and not looking age 65!

    Special thanks to Dr. Samira and my husband's support and fun with this program.  Also, my friends, tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, apples, oranges, grapefruit, chicken and white fish.  Sorry to pasta, potatoes and rice because we are no longer friends.
