  I felt pretty good right after surgery- I was back at work on Monday following a Friday morning procedure. No one at my job knew I was having the surgery, and once back at work I still didn't tell them and no one knew that I was recovering! I felt good, not great, but pretty good. I was not prepared for the itching that started Monday and lasted rather intensely through Thursday. Nighttime was pretty intense deep itching and I ended up taking Benadryl which at least helped me sleep. I was worried about it being infection, but turns out it is just a sign of nerves waking up-phew! 10 days after surgery and I'm excited to see the final result once all the swelling and bumpiness have gone down. I'm no longer wearing my post-surgery garment- too much chafing- but a Spanx-type camisole feels very good and supportive as everything heals and gets settled.

  Exercise is back to normal- yoga and weights and stationary bike and walking- running still painful as things "bounce around" too much, but will keep trying.

  I'm surprised no one has really commented, but I guess I haven't exactly flashed by abs yet. Jeans definitely fit better- no more muffin top- and for the first time, things seem to fit in the waist as well as the hips and butt! Yay! See ya in 4 months for the final eval.

  I had lost 60lbs over the previous year, but the double chin that had appeared as I gained the weight would not go away, and it was really embarrassing.

  "Right now - Wow! Bouncing back took a little longer than I thought. Lots of colorful bruising initially and tenderness, but this eases off day by day. Tylenol really is the strongest med you'd need. I tend to be gong-ho about things like recovery and a little too impatient. Results are still showing in different ways from day to day. I chatted merrily through the whole procedure and went out to lunch with my husband afterwards, in hind-sight should have gone home and rested. I did call the office with questions and concerns a couple of times, someone was always available to help me out.
