ALUMA employs a two-step process, where the ultimate goal is to increase Collagen production. This is achieve by delivering precise radio-frequency (RF) pulses to the part of the skin that is responsible for Collagen production. Controlling the delivery of the RF pulses is what makes ALUMA with FACES special: the specific part of the dermis is targeted by something called "impedance matching" (which is a fancy way of saying that certain parts of you body will react to the pulses, while others will not - kind of like tuning a radio). The other advantage of ALUMA is that the skin is actually raised between the two prongs that deliver the RF pulses using vacuum, so that we can control where we send the energy in the first place.
