  • It’s nice to be called a genius

This is something that a patient of mine (in her 50s) just mailed me ... too nice not to share:

    Hi,

So I had a bridal shower here on Saturday afternoon for 40 people! Yikes!

That night, I went out with the young bride and her friends for the bachelorette party (yes, scary).  I was blatantly hit on by a (very cute) 26-year-old guy.  All of the ladies noticed. ;-)  I thought maybe he was humoring the old lady, but I think he was serious.  Not sure if you want this as a

Recently, the FDA issued an alert regarding the potential association of a very rare cancer and breast implant patients.

The disorder  -anaplastic large cell lymphoma- i s extraordinarily rare with perhaps 60 cases reported world wide. The incidence in the US is less than 1:500,000. Of these cases there appears to be a statistically skewed number of patients with prior silicone breast implants. It is unclear that there is any relation to the implants other than coincidence.
