Waterproof Hearing Aid

Siemens has created a BTE hearing aid that is completely waterproof: The Aquaris. It can last 30 min submerged in up to 3 feet of water pressure (at which time the battery needs oxygen to continue powering the device). It is a great consideration for those who require assistance bathing, spend time exercising or playing in water, or have corroded prior hearing aids.

This little device is meant for patients who don't think they are quiet ready for a hearing aid, but are working harder to listen or missing things other hear. In a way it accomplishes many of the reasons we hold off on purchasing amplification by it's deep fit and low cost.

Starkey is introducing the AMP amplification system.
