Cosmetic Fillers
Cosmetic Fillers encompasses the extensive field of "wrinkle reduction" and "wrinkle prevention".
By now (2009), there are a wide variety of fillers on the market, and it is not always obvious which one you should choose. There are, however, some general guidelines that a qualified practitioner can use. Dr. Voss has put together a small "cheat sheet" below that will give you an idea of what to look for. Patients should take the following items into account:
- Where the filler can be used (not all fillers can be used everywhere)
- How the filler feels
- If this is permanent or if it can be undone (some fillers are "eaten" by enzymes we can inject after we have placed the filler; some are permanent)
- If the filler is something for a "first-timer" who might be a bit more apprehensive
