IPL Kirkland

How does IPL work?

IPL is an intense pulsed light technology, also known as “Photoderm,” which is very similar to FotoFacial treatment; IPL is a spot treatment instead of an area treatment like FotoFacial. It can specifically target red vessels in the skin (red birthmarks), spider angiomas, spider veins or “broken capillaries,” and can also focus in on specific bothersome brown spots.

IPL is gently delivered to the skin. From there, the light is delivered through a special hand piece. Once the light is delivered, the light is absorbed by targeted damaged tissue. For optimal results, several treatments can be done in about a three-week interval, for up to 30 minutes at a time. Together, IPL FotoFacial treatments can help to even out skin tones and reduce redness.
