Dr Shah earned his medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in Manhattan, NY.

The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary is the oldest specialty hospital in the United States and has trained many leaders in the field of otolaryngology. Dr. Shah served as chief resident his final year of training and was the recipient of both the resident teaching award and the resident research award. Prior to residency, Dr. Shah graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
Dr. Shah is a native of Ohio, and in his free time, he enjoys many outdoor activities, including golf, basketball, running, and skiing.
Dr Shah is a Board Certified in Otolaryngology and Otolaryngology Allergy. His Clinical interests include head and neck oncology, endocrine surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, otologic surgery, and minimally invasive procedures fro the treatment of Snoring and sleep apnea.
Dr Shah regularly performs endoscopic sinus surgery for patients who suffering from chronic sinusitis who donot respond to traditional non surgical management. He also performs surgical procedures designed to relieve chronic Nasal congestion, including setoplasty and submucous resection of the interior turbinates.
He also has extensive experience in the treatment of common pediatric otolaryngology problems such as the removal of adenoids and tonsils, and the placement of middle ear tubes. Dr Shah also performs thyroidectomies and parathyriodetomies for a variety of benign and malignant disorders.
Nasal Surgery: Dr. Shah performs endoscopic sinus surgery for patients suffering from chronic sinusitis who do not respond to traditional non-surgical management. Northwest Face utilizes the most current technology available, including the use of image-guidance systems for challenging cases or revision sinus cases. Dr. Shah also preforms surgical procedures designed to relieve chronic nasal congestion, including septoplasty and submucous resection of the inferior turbinates.
Pediatric Surgery: Dr. Shah has extensive experience in the surgical treatment of common pediatric otolaryngologic problems such as the removal of adenoids and tonsils for chronic infections or sleep apnea, and the placement of middle ear ventilation tubes for recurrent ear infections.
Endocrine Disorders: Thyroid and parathyroid disorders often require surgical treatment. Dr. Shah performs thyroidectomies and parathyroidectomies for a variety of benign and malignant disorders.
Voice Disorders: Dr. Shah performs both office-based procedures under local anesthesia as well as surgical procedures under general anesthesia to treat a variety of disorders affecting the voice box (larynx), including vocal fold paralysis, vocal fold atrophy, and lesions of the larynx.
Otologic Surgery: Dr. Shah performs surgical procedures to treat a variety of ear conditions, including tympanoplasty to repair ruptured ear drums, mastoidectomy to address chronic middle ear disease, and ossicular chain reconstruction for patients with a certain type of hearing loss known as a conductive hearing loss.
Salivary Gland Disorders: Dr. Shah performs surgery on the parotid and submandibular salivary glands for a variety of benign and malignant problems.
