Restylane®
We offer Restylane®, FDA approved, as wrinkle filler. This product has long been available in Europe and has an excellent safety profile. Studies show that it last longer than Collagen injections, and there are no reported allergic reactions to the substance.
Restylane® is made of Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occurring element in the skin. There is no need to have any skin testing for allergy prior to injection, so treatment can occur at your first appointment. Fine lines to deeper wrinkles can be injected. Cost ranges from $350 to $700 per syringe. This is an injected gel that gives instant correction with no 'downtime.'
Restylane® is the trademark of a specific product (hyaluronic acid) that is used for finer wrinkles and the upper face. It is basically used like Collagen injections, but no skin tests are used, and it seems that it lasts a lot longer. When used between the eyebrows for frown lines along with Botox® Cosmetic, the wrinkles tend to stay away about 6 months. No one has been allergic to Restylane. The injection will need to be repeated when the wrinkle reappears. It works well with BOTOX® Cosmetic in the upper face but is used alone on the lower face.
