How Do You Take Care Of Powder Brows?

Microblading is a semi-permanent option for eyebrow enhancement that can reduce the amount of makeup and maintenance needed every day. However, powder brows and microbladed brows, in general, require some care to maintain results and keep them looking their best. Let’s take a look at the question, “How do you take care of powder brows?”

First, follow all of your aftercare instructions following microblading. This may include avoiding certain products or skincare for a few days or weeks. You will also need to avoid touching the brows as much as possible, beyond what is instructed. Also, keep out of the sun as much as possible and wear a hat to shield your brows.

Once they do heal, you will need to occasionally brush through the brows and clean them. This prevents debris from breaking down the pigment. This can be done with a clean spoolie brush. While you will want to refrain from doing this too much, many will recommend cleaning once every day or every other day.

Also, certain activities may limit the longevity of powder brows. For example, swimming or frequent sweating can cause the pigment to metabolize or fade faster. You do not need to give up these activities, though. Simply know that you may need touch-ups more often. To schedule a consultation, call us at 425-576-1700.
