A neck lift surgery is commonly performed, but not as well known as its counterpart the facelift. Though, these two procedures frequently go hand in hand. To better understand what a neck lift is and what it can do, let’s answer another question, “What will I look like after a neck lift?”
Like with facelift surgery, a neck lift removes excess skin and corrects sagging on the neck. It is rarely performed in isolation (though it can be) because it uses similar incisions to a facelift and often the extra skin extends to the lower face. A neck lift also prioritizes natural results, so it will not try to overtly change your anatomy, but simply restore it.
A neck lift removes sagging skin and wrinkles. Though, your skin may still contain some fine lines and show other signs of aging. CO2 laser resurfacing may be able to help further improve this, if necessary or desired. Overall, you can expect to look younger, but still very much like yourself after a neck lift surgery.
