Liposuction 360 Bellevue And Kirkland

Around the world, more than one million liposuction procedures are performed each year. Stubborn fat pockets and diet resistant fat are nearly universal problems. Liposuction can address them with a fairly non-invasive and safe surgery. Liposuction is rarely performed only in one area or as a lone procedure. Among the most common lipo procedures is liposuction 360. Dr. Ludwig Allegra at Northwest Face & Body specializes in the best liposuction 360 Bellevue and Kirkland provide.

Liposuction In 3D: Understanding Liposuction 360

Liposuction 360–sometimes referred to as 360 liposuction–is a term used to describe a procedure where a plastic surgeon performs liposuction in multiple areas around the body. To better visualize it, a lipo 360 procedure may include liposuction of the abdomen, love handles, and lower back to remove fat around the entire body.

The exact treatment areas can change, but the idea is roughly the same. Liposuction 360 is often combined with other surgeries. It sculpts the body to reveal or sculpt a patient’s ideal curves or body. While women more frequently seek the procedure, nearly anyone who carries stubborn fat can benefit from 360 lipo.

Lipo 360 Treatment Areas

As previously mentioned, the exact body areas treated during liposuction 360 will vary from patient to patient. This is due to differences in anatomy, goals, other surgeries, etc. Some of the areas that are often included in lipo 360 are:

  • Abdomen (upper/lower)
  • Waist
  • Hips
  • Flanks/Love handles
  • Back (Upper/mid/lower)
  • Thighs
  • Buttocks

The treated areas are customized for each patient. You will discuss the ideal treatment areas for your liposuction surgery during a consultation with Dr. Allegra at Northwest Face & Body.

Benefits

Like any plastic surgery, 360 liposuction can make a major difference in the contours of the body. For patients who have lost weight, experience uneven fat deposits, or simply want to refine their curves, liposuction is a great option. Some of the benefits and advantages of lipo 360 can include:

  • Removes unwanted, stubborn fat deposits
  • Sculpts and defines natural curves
  • Can aid in revealing muscle definition
  • Addresses multiple areas of the body for optimal results
  • Tiny incisions
  • Collects viable fat for transfer, if desired
  • Reduces recovery time when combining what could be multiple surgeries into one
  • Uses safe and effective methods
  • May make it easier or provide added motivation to live a healthier lifestyle
  • Possible increase in confidence

Types Of Liposuction

Liposuction comes in many different forms. Depending on your needs, Dr. Allegra may recommend a certain lipo technique, or use multiple methods during the procedure. All types of lipo can be used for lipo 360. The three most common types include traditional, laser, and ultrasound assisted liposuction.

Traditional

Today’s traditional liposuction consists of tumescent liposuction. Sometimes called “wet” liposuction, this technique involves injecting tumescent fluid into the treatment areas first. This fluid accomplishes many goals including adding additional local anesthesia and breaking up the excess fat.

Breaking up the fat before removing it via the liposuction cannula reduces bleeding, allows for more fat removal, and is safer. This is the most frequently used form of liposuction. It usually provides among the most noticeable results of all liposuction procedures. Though, is slightly more invasive than other methods.

Laser

Laser liposuction–similar to tumescent lipo–utilizes a fat seeking laser to break up fat before removing it. The laser technique also comes with the bonus of promoting skin tightening. Laser liposuction is slightly less invasive because the laser causes less trauma than traditional methods. Though, fat removed using laser lipo is not viable for transfer.

Ultrasound Assisted

Ultrasound assisted liposuction, sometimes called ultrasonic liposuction, is another way to break up targeted fat before removing it. It can be performed either using an internal probe or from outside the body with specific ultrasound technology. While similar to tumescent liposuction, depending on the treatment area, there are some added risks to this method. It is best to discuss which method is right for you during a consultation.

Before And After 360 Liposuction

Before

To find out if you are a candidate for liposuction 360, you will need a consultation with Bellevue’s top plastic surgeon, Dr. Allegra. Either in-office or virtually, you will start by discussing the areas you want to treat, cosmetic goals, and expectations. After getting a good idea of what you want, Dr. Allegra may ask about elements of your lifestyle and medical history.

At this point, Dr. Allegra will provide details about the procedure including benefits, risks, and a summary of the recovery. He will then physically examine the surgical areas. Upon finishing his exam, Dr. Allegra can determine if you are a good candidate. He can also provide more personalized information about what you can expect from the recovery and results.

During

On your surgery day, you will come to our Kirkland plastic surgery center. The Northwest Face & Body team will greet you and begin running preliminary tests to ready you for surgery. You will also meet briefly with Dr. Allegra. He will review the surgical plan and may make surgical markings.

After preparations are complete, a certified anesthesia provider will place you under general anesthesia. Dr. Allegra will then commence with the procedure. First, he will use the chosen method to break up the fat. In most cases, this involves injecting tumescent fluid. Dr. Allegra will then make a small incision in an inconspicuous location near or in the treatment area.

Through this incision, Dr. Allegra will insert the liposuction cannula. Swiftly moving it back and forth to collect fat, he will repeat this process until the goal body contours are achieved.

After

Immediately following liposuction 360 in Bellevue, you will wake up and likely feel groggy. It is also normal to feel a little sick as well. After an initial recovery period, your caregiver will take you home to begin your recovery.

Patients can expect to experience some side effects such as swelling, bruising, and post-operative pain. Though, in general, the side effects following liposuction are usually bearable and mild after the first couple of days. You will need to wear compression garments nearly constantly. Over the coming weeks, the amount of time will reduce.

Dr. Allegra will continue to see you for regular post-operative appointments for at least one to three months. However, if more appointments are necessary or desired, he is happy to accommodate.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Much Fat Can Be Removed With 360 Lipo?

For the average patient, liposuction can safely remove about three to four liters. This correlates to about six to ten pounds of fat depending on the patient. While technically possible to remove more fat, the procedure becomes too risky in most cases.

Also, liposuction is not a weight loss procedure. If you have more than ten to twenty pounds to lose, you should use other methods. Liposuction addresses stubborn, smaller pockets of fat that impact the overall contours and look of the body.

Can I Transfer The Fat Into The Buttocks?

Yes, the fat removed from during liposuction 360 can be transferred into the buttocks as part of a Brazilian butt lift. However, you will need to be a good candidate for a fat transfer procedure. You are also not limited to the buttocks. The fat can also be transferred into other areas such as the breasts or face.

How Soon Will I See Results?

After the initial swelling goes down, you will likely notice a difference in the look and shape of your body. This is usually between the one and three month mark. However, residual swelling can continue to go down for several months after surgery.

As a general rule in plastic surgery, final results typically take anywhere from nine months to one year to appear. Though, depending on your medical history or if you smoke, it may take longer.

Does Liposuction Tighten Skin?

Traditional liposuction does not tighten the skin. Laser lipo can offer some tightening and VASER is a form of ultrasound liposuction that can also offer skin tightening benefits. However, if you have a large amount of extra skin, you will likely need a skin removal surgery instead.

How Much Is Liposuction 360?

Determining the cost of liposuction 360 is difficult without a consultation because the procedure can look entirely different for each patient. Liposuction areas start at $2,995 with additional areas being $1,999. For more pricing information, visit our price list and financing pages.
