When BOTOX was first approved for cosmetic use in 1989, it was the first of its kind. It remained that way for almost two decades until the FDA approval of Dysport in the United States. Now, since there, various other competitors have arisen, including the newest one, Jeuveau. Often dubbed, "Newtox", the injectable also uses a form of Botulinum toxin A to treat dynamic wrinkles. Currently, the only FDA approval is for the treatment of frown lines. However, unlike the other neuromodulator options, Newtox does not intend to seek any medical usage, it focuses purely on cosmetic injections. This gives it an edge not seen in other injectables. Northwest Face & Body provides the best Newtox Bellevue and Kirkland offers.
Early studies have shown that Jeuveau may last up to five or six months on average. Considering all other neuromodulators last between three and four months on average, this is an advantage that Newtox has on the market. However, all neurotoxins will react differently based on a patient's lifestyle and biology. Some people will break down the different products differently. Therefore, we often recommend trying the different neurotoxins to find the one that provides you the best results and lasts the longest.
Yes, although Newtox is not FDA approved for all of the same areas. However, it can be safely used off label by a qualified and experienced provider. Neurotoxins are frequently used off label and there are generally no major concerns. Places Newtox can be used include:
Yes, much like other neurotoxins, you can safely and effective combine Newtox with dermal fillers. Both are used as anti-aging injections and the deeper wrinkles that Jeuveau cannot fully address can often be treated with filler injections. Depending on the treatment areas, this combination is sometimes known as a liquid facelift.
